About Us

In 1961 Duane Pancoast, Founder/CEO, earned a BS degree in radio and television from Syracuse University.

His career includes jobs writing and producing commercials and print ads at radio and television stations as well as advertising agencies. In 1967, he transitioned from writing advertising copy to practicing public relations. After working for local, national and international advertising agencies he established The Pancoast Concern, Ltd. in 1985.

His expertise crosses many industries, including the green industry, industrial manufacturing, heating & air conditioning, cars, snowmobiles, motorcycles, lawyers, and other professional services firms and more.

Brian Pancoast, President/COO, began his career in 1990 after graduating with a degree in Business Administration. Before joining the team in 1997, he held positions in management and marketing. His commitment to exceptional customer service has governed all his decisions at The Pancoast Concern, Ltd.
Brian's ability to analyze a situation and create a successful strategy has helped our clients successfully market their products and services.

Donald Kneeland, Vice President, services the firm's health care clients and develops new business. He is the former director of Public Relations at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of the Rochester area.

Don's publishing experience includes a magazine for marketing communications professionals, a business and life-style magazine for physicians and a book that he wrote.

He has been honored with writing awards, and is active on the boards of a number of community human service and business organizations.

Shawn Shanley, Director of E-communications, earned a degree in journalism and mass communications from Lock Haven University of PA in 2002.

Shawn’s experience writing for the campus newspaper and other local media allows him to craft effective messages to propel our clients to the leading positions many enjoy. With supporting studies in graphic and web design, he also helps clients improve their internet presence through effective websites and the use of social media.
